Our CultureStrike Climate Change and Environmental Justice Fellowship program has concluded and we are proud to present here excerpts and reflections from our three fellows: Desiree Evans, Cyree Jarelle Johnson, and Alexandra Tempus. All three, selected from a spectacular applicant pool, undertook ambitious multiple-month projects from late 2016 through early 2017, and in collaboration with CultureStrike's team of editorial mentors, produced an array of works that varied widely in subject and genre, but were bound by a vision for literature and storytelling as a platform for shedding light on the most vital environmental issues of our time.
Read more about the fellows and read excerpts of their projects:

- Cyree Jarelle Johnson (New York City): a machine of mahogany and bronze
