Argenis Osorio


Argenis Osorio (b. Cuba, 1970) is a prolific writer with three collections of short stories, all published in Cuba:  Convite de cenizas (Ediciones Santiago, 2002), Tras la piel (Ediciones Santiago, 2004), and Es este lado de la muerte (Editora Capiro, 2014).  He is most widely known, within Cuba and the much of the Spanish-speaking world, for the short story, “La sexta caballería de Kansas,” which received an honorable mention in the prestigious literary contest, Concurso Iberoamericano de Cuento Julio Cortázar, in 2013.
